About Intellectual Capital Sweden AB
Intellectual Capital Sweden AB was founded in 1997 by Leif Edvinsson , along with Thomas Hvid and Peder Hofman-Bang. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and has rendered services across more than 20 countries on four continents.
Leif Edvinsson is acknowledged worldwide as one of the trailblazers in the intellectual capital space. He was formerly the Director of Intellectual Capital for Skandia, Sweden’s largest Financial Services and Insurance firm, and the first company in the world to have a Director-position of this type. He is acknowledged to be one of the pioneering codifiers of the theory and practice of Intellectual Capital. In 1998, he was conferred the “Brain of the Year” award, in competition with the likes of Bill Gates and Paul McCartney. Prior and later awardees of “Brain of the Year” include luminaries such as Stephen Hawking and Garry Kasparov. In 2000, Leif was listed as one of the top 20 most-admired knowledge leaders in the world. He has been an advisor to the Swedish Government, to the United Nations, and to the SEC on matters relating to Intellectual Capital. He holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Henrik Martin , CEO of Intellectual Capital Sweden AB (ICAB), holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Henrik joined as CEO at Intellectual Capital Sweden AB in order to internationalize the company, and has, amongst other things, been instrumental in setting up and implementing the partnering strategy that has resulted in a partner network encompassing more than 20 countries on four continents. The successful implementation of this partner strategy has propelled Intellectual Capital Sweden AB to the leading position amongst Intellectual Capital practitioners. Henrik is a trusted advisor on IC related topics to many senior managers and board members around the world. He is also a much appreciated speaker on the topic of Intellectual Capital and its implications for the corporations of the 21st century.
Peder Hofman-Bang , one of the co-founders of Intellectual Capital Sweden AB ,is Vice President of Strategic Alliances . Peder holds a Master of Science degree in business administration from the Stockholm School of Economics. Peder is the chief developer of IC Rating™and is a frequent speaker on the subject of Intellectual Capital at various conferences worldwide. In recent years, Peder’s focus has been on the roll-out of the IC Rating™ methodology to companies in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, Italy, U.K., Japan, Australia, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, Poland, Denmark, Spain, France, Hong Kong, South Korea, Turkey, Slovenia and USA.
